Bēl-šimānni

Bēl-šimānni was a Babylonian rebel and usurper who revolted against the Persian suzerainty under Xerxes I and who defied himself in 484 BC. At least in Borsippa and Dilbat as king of Babylonia. As with Šamaš-eribas , his attempt at usurpation failed quickly.
