BLM Radio Prize

The BLM Radio Prize is awarded by the Bavarian State Office for New Media to radio productions in the categories of general reporting and information , comedy and entertainment , special interest programs , advertising and promotion, and prize for young talent .

In 2012, on the occasion of the 25th award of the BLM Radio Prize, a prize in the category Special Prize: Moderation will be awarded.

The BLM Local TV Prize goes to television productions in the categories of general reporting and information , comedy and entertainment , specialty programs , advertising and promotion, and prize for young talent .

The prizes have been awarded by an international jury of media experts since 1987 and are endowed with 3,000 euros each. The award is given to productions that were broadcast in the course of the previous year on radio or television in Bavaria.

Prize winner 2009

The prize in the “Current Reporting & Information” category went to Michael Küster from Radio IN, Ingolstadt for his gripping live football coverage of the second division game between FC Ingolstadt and FSV Frankfurt.

For her contribution “Friends don't let friends drive drunk”, Anne Axmann from Charivari Ostbayern won the prize in the “Culture & Society” category. The original collage in which u. a. a paraplegic accident victim tells about his everyday life, was shown on the day of the station's campaign against alcohol abuse.

Isabella Kreim received a recognition award in this category from the Association for the Promotion of Cultural Issues of the Ingolstadt Region eV for her feature "Electra's Dream" about Ingolstadt high school and secondary school students who are realizing a dance theater project together.

For Charivari Ostbayern (Regensburg) the winner in the category "Entertainment & Comedy" is Wolfgang Subirge. His contribution "Gerhard-Winkler - A Man at Bond" tells of an extras and his experiences while shooting the latest James Bond film.

Timo Staudacher from Donau 3FM, Ulm, received the young talent award in radio for his contribution about a major fire in an apartment building in Neu-Ulm, in which both victims and helpers have their say.

For a cross-media campaign with local butchers in Ansbach, Stefan Grunewald and Sandra Sachs won the award in the "Advertising & Crossmedia" category. The radio spots were broadcast on Radio 8, Ansbach.
