BTS specialist diploma

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The higher technical diploma , also known as BTS technical diploma ( brevet de technicien supérieur - BTS ), is a two-year short-term study based on the French model that can be attended in Luxembourg following a secondary degree (comparable to the Abitur). The BTS courses must be accredited according to the Bologna criteria for a period of 5 years and are provided with at least 120 ECTS credits. The basis is the law of June 19, 2009 (Memorial A - N ° 153 of July 1, 2009)

Goal setting

The BTS is intended to help candidates gain a higher level of professional training in their respective specialist area, with the aim of making their entry into professional life easier and more efficient. The training is essentially aimed at acquiring professional and technological skills in the administrative, commercial, artistic and technical areas and is aimed at people who are at least 18 years old and who want to quickly acquire a professional qualification.

Conditions of admission

The students are admitted after their respective files have been successfully checked, but the number of admitted candidates may depend on the number of available study places. The school that offers the training takes into account professional experience and professional skills and may stipulate a refresher of knowledge or an admission test.

Application documents

The application must be accompanied by the usual documents: passport photo, copy of identity card or passport, certified copies of certificates from the last 3 years of secondary education including final grades and a letter of application.

The application of non-EU citizens must also include the following documents: the recognition of the secondary school leaving certificate by the Ministry of Education, Children and Youth (Ministère de l'Education nationale, de l'Enfance et de la Jeunesse) and a dated Residence permit in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg issued by the Luxembourg Ministry of Justice.
