research

One of the main research areas at eufom University was the subject of "intangible assets" - not to be confused with " intangible assets ". Together with cooperation partners, economic and psycho-social aspects were also considered on an equal footing in addition to the legal / tax law dimension. The eufom University researched on the one hand the economic recording and evaluation and on the other hand the legal protection of intangible assets (e.g. intellectual property, patents and brands but also the knowledge of employees and the quality of management) with the aim of enhancing the university's competence in technical, from an economic and legal point of view and to promote the transfer of scientific knowledge into business practice.

In addition to the Luxembourg Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Chambre de Commerce, eufom's partners included the Center de Veille Technologique (CVT) in the CRP-Henri-Tudor and the research group on intellectual property at the University of Szeged in Hungary.

Thomas Gergen headed the research focus.

Cooperations

In Luxembourg, the eufom University cooperated with the LSC, the Luxembourg School for Commerce, the Chambre de Commerce, the European Institute for Knowledge & Value Management (EIKV, European Institute for Knowledge and Value Management ) and the International Institute for Performance Management ( IPERF). In Germany, the eufom University cooperated with the FOM Hochschule . The FOM University, an initiative of the German economy, supported by a non-profit foundation, has been offering courses that accompany work and training since 1993. Today almost 38,000 employees and trainees study at the FOM University. Eufom used the quality management of the FOM University, which has been system-accredited since the beginning of 2012.

Conference series

Together with the LSC, the Luxembourg School for Commerce, the eufom University organized the conference series “University meets Business”, which was launched in 2002 by the European Institute for Knowledge & Value Management (EIKV) in Zurich, under the motto “Practice-relevant science for SMEs in one networked society ”.

The aim of the conference series was to make the social relevance of university research visible and to make new scientific findings usable. The eufom University understood innovation as “being different” and did not limit it to technological progress.
