BT monocerotis

BT Monocerotis is a nova that lit up in the constellation Unicorn ( Monoceros ) in 1939 . BT Monocerotis achieved a brightness of 4.5 mag . Its brightness decreased by 3 mag in 36 days after the eruption.

The name part "BT" follows the rules for naming variable stars and says that BT Monocerotis is the 97th variable star discovered in the constellation Unicorn.
