The Baía dos Golfinhos is a bay on the Brazilian island of Fernando de Noronha .

The archipelago bears the title of World Natural Heritage, among other things because of the globally unique collection of dolphins there . It is the mating and resting place of the East Pacific dolphins ( Stenella longirostris ). There is no known place in the world where more dolphins live together. Employees of the Golfinho Rotador Foundation , whose main sponsor is the Brazilian oil company Petrobras , monitor the bay from sunrise to sunset and note the number of animals swimming in and out. Over 1000 animals have already been counted here.

Access to the bay is strictly forbidden and is demarcated by buoys and ropes. The best time to watch the dolphins is in the early hours of the morning when they return to the bay from the hunt.
