Baat

The baat , also tikal , was a Siamese measure of weight and also a silver coin. According to the French mark weight , it allowed the following relationships

  • 1 Baat = 3 Gros, 2 Denier, 20 Gran = 284 Grän
  • 1 Baat = 8462 Reichspfennigteile (Cologne Mark) => 1 ounce ≈ 15 to 16 grams
  • 40 Baat = 1 Katti / Kätti
