Cheek bulges
As Backenwülster is referred to in the Zoology a full-grown adult male from the ape of Borneo orangutan , which by a pronounced sexual dimorphism its appearance.
Morphologically, a cheek bulge appears through its pronounced hairless cheek bulges , which serve as a secondary sex characteristic. In the wild there is one cheek puff for every ten females. It dominates an orangutan group and is preferred when mating with female conspecifics.
