Backspin is a first time published in summer 1994 by German hip-hop - Magazine . It is the oldest active publication of its kind in Germany and is published four times a year by BACKSPIN MEDIA .

Overview

Backspin was founded as a magazine in the summer of 1994 and after more than 115 issues, the BACKSPIN TV YouTube channel as well as the BACKSPIN FM online radio format and the BACKSPIN podcast provide comprehensive coverage of the youth culture of hip-hop and the rap genre .

The business owner is Niko Hüls aka Niko Backspin , who can be seen in various formats on the Backspin YouTube channel. Beyond the hip-hop print magazine, Hüls is well known for interviews with current greats in the German rap scene , such as the 187 Strassenbande , Fler , or Bushido . Backspin also produces its own documentaries about rappers like the 187 Strassenbande, Marteria or Jalil . The portfolio was also expanded to include podcasts and BackspinFM .
