The house with the postal address Badenstrasse 42 is a listed building on Badenstrasse in Stralsund .

The four-storey, three-axle gabled house was built at the beginning of the 17th century. The influence of Dutch Renaissance architecture in Stralsund can be seen in it. The two lower floors were renewed in the 18th century. The second and third floors, both of which were once used as storage floors, are just as original as the three-floor volute gable with a curved top. While the two lower floors are plastered, the upper, originally preserved part is exposed to brick with plastered structure .

The house is located in the core area of ​​the city ​​area recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage site of the “ historic old towns of Stralsund and Wismar ”. It is entered in the list of architectural monuments in Stralsund with the number 68.
