Wolves Like Us is a Norwegian post-hardcore / metal band from Oslo . The band is signed to Prosthetic Records and has released three studio albums to date .

history

The band was formed in 2010. Drummer Jonas Thire previously played in the bands Amulet , JR Ewing and Silver , while singer Larsh Kristensen, guitarist Espen Helvig and bassist Toy Kjeldaas were active in the band Infidels Forever . In the same year as it was founded, Wolves Like Us played numerous concerts in support of bands such as Kvelertak , Gallows , Purified in Blood and Blood Command . In early 2011, the band signed a contract with the US record label Prosthetic Records. The debut album Late Love was released in May of that year .

In the following years the band released the singles Deathless and Get Gone before the musicians got to work on the second studio album. Black Soul Choir was recorded at Propeller Studios in Oslo. The album was produced by Mike Hartung, who has previously worked with different bands such as a-ha or Satyricon . The release took place on February 28, 2014. In February 2014 the band played a European tour in the opening act of Long Distance Calling .

In October 2019 the band released their third studio album, Brittle Bones.

style

Wolves Like Us play a mix of post-hardcore , metal and alternative rock . According to singer Larsh Kristensen, every musician in the band brings different influences and counts bands like Slayer or The Afghan Whigs to the lowest common denominators.
