The Badmintonklubben abc Aalborg is a badminton club from the Northeast Aalborg in Denmark . It was founded in 1958.
history
The club was founded on October 3rd, 1958 through the merger of the Aalborg Badminton Club , which existed since December 1st, 1938, and the Skjold Badminton Club , which has existed since 1935. Particular success achieved for the club Annie Bøg Jørgensen , which won bronze at the European Championships in 1972. Also Morten Bundgaard learned the game with the shuttlecock at abc Aalborg. He was later successful as a player and coach in Switzerland. In the recent past, Rikke Broen in particular has caused a stir. The first team is currently playing in the second division, after having started in the Danmark series in the past .
