Baghrir

Baghrir , or Beghrir , is a small, fluffy pancake from the traditional Berber cuisine from North Africa . Baghrir are mostly made from semolina or flour . When properly prepared, they have many small holes that can accommodate the sauce that is served with them. In Morocco and Algeria , dipping the baghrir in a honey and butter sauce is common, but it can also be cut into pieces and served with jam . Often they are also prepared with raisins . Baghrir are popular for breakfast or as a snack .
