Bahadurgarh Baby Killer

Bahadurgarh Baby Killer was the name given by the English-language media to the Indian serial killer who, from 1995 to 1998, kidnapped twelve preschool and elementary school-age girls from the slums in the vicinity of Bahadurgarh in the state of Haryana , raped them, cut their throats and them left lying in the open.

Victim

The first victim was six years old, as far as can be seen, none was older than nine. The only trace was the perpetrator's semen on the corpses. In autumn 1995, Pooja Ranga was the first victim to be murdered and found on the bank of a pond with her throat cut. After the body of the fourth victim, the nine-year-old daughter of a working-class couple, was found on October 11, 1995, many parents left the area with their children.

On June 22, 1997, 7-year-old Manju was raped and murdered. After the discovery of the eleventh victim, rewards were offered by the government and several private individuals, the government amounting to 10,000 rupees .

Perpetrator

In 1996, 30-year-old Ram Babu was arrested, but the series of murders continued a year after his arrest. On August 16, Ram Babu was murdered in prison by a fellow prisoner.

On July 10, 1997, Shankar Kumar was arrested. He is suspected of killing Manju.

7-year-old Pinky was abducted on November 18, 1998, the girl was found alive on November 20 and led the police to the house where she was being held. The homeowner's 25-year-old son, Satish, was subsequently arrested.
