Pilgrimage destinations for the Baha'i pilgrimage in Israel

During the Baha'i pilgrimage , Baha'i make a pilgrimage for nine days to the historic sites of the Baha'i religion in the Baha'i World Center in Israel . In Kitab-i-Aqdas , Baha'u'llah , the founder of the Baha'i religion, designated the house of Baha'u'llah in Baghdad and the house of Bab in Shiraz as pilgrimage destinations. Later, Abdu'l Baha added the shrine of the Bab in Haifa to the pilgrimage destinations. Shoghi Effendi supplemented the Baha'u'llah shrine in Bahji near Akkon , which represents the direction of prayer ( Qiblih ) for the compulsory and the funeral prayer . The pilgrimage to the house of Baha'u'llah is currently not possible due to the Iraq war and to the house of Bab due to the persecution of the Baha'i in Iran. Therefore, Baha'i pilgrimage to the World Center, whose buildings are in Haifa and Acre in Israel.
