Railway stations in North Rhine-Westphalia |
The Buke train station is in Buke , a district of the Altenbeken municipality in the Paderborn district , North Rhine-Westphalia . It was opened in 1853 on the Hamm – Warburg railway line. Since the 1960s, the station is no longer served by passengers. The reception building has been privately owned since 1998. The building ensemble consisting of the reception building and all auxiliary buildings is entered in the list of architectural monuments in Altenbeken .
history
The original route was planned via Lichtenau and Kleinenberg . According to a draft of October 21, 1849, a train station was planned in Buke, as this was a stop for the stagecoach . In spring 1853 the railway line and the station building could be opened; the first train of the Westphalian Railway traveled on the route from Warburg to Altenbeken on July 21st .
After the number of trains had increased steadily, the railway line was expanded to double tracks from 1905 to 1907. In May 1966 the conversion from mechanical to electrical signal operation took place. In 1986 the guard house could be demolished because semi-automatic barriers were erected.
On January 20, 1988, the station was entered under number 29 in the list of monuments of the municipality of Altenbeken. The buildings were sold and have been inhabited since 1998.
description
