The Furze Platt railway station ( English Furze Platt station , operational abbreviation: SSP) is a railway station in the town of Maidenhead in England .

Furze Platt was opened as a stop on July 5, 1937 to serve the city's growing population. However, the line between Marlow and Cookham had existed since 1854 and was operated by the Great Western Railway .

The British Rail , former state railway company for the country part of the UK, called the station on 5 May 1969 by Furze Platt Halt in Furze Platt order. In the 2016/17 survey period, the station was used by around 180,000 passengers.

Every hour, every half hour during rush hour, the Great Western Railway runs to Maidenhead and Marlow .

The level crossing directly adjacent to the station is one of the most abused on the Western Route. In 2014, 31 incidents were recorded, including a near collision.

To the north there was originally a connection to the Chiltern Main Line .
