The Sperenberg station lies on the railway line Berlin-Jüterbog (military railway) in Brandenburg . It was in operation from October 10, 1875 to April 18, 1998.

The reception building and toilet block are under monument protection.

The “Sperenberg Sculptor Train Station” is currently located in the reception building, which has a studio, a sculptor's shop and accommodation, as well as offering sculpture courses. The station is also used as a trolley station on the Zossen – Jänickendorf trolley line.
