The Treichville station ( French Gare ferroviaire Treichville ) is the southern terminus for passenger traffic on the Treichville– Ouagadougou railway line on the Abidjan-Niger Railway in the Treichville district of the city of Abidjan . It is located near the city's free port .
Equipment and transport
The station has a modern station building with separate ticket counters for 1st and 2nd carriage class. In November 2017, three passenger trains a week ran from Treichville to Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso . Departures were Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, with the departure on Tuesdays as a train special with fewer stops and the departures on Thursdays and Saturdays as a train express . The trains from Ouagadougou arrived in Treichville on Wednesdays ( train special ), Fridays and Sundays. In addition to passenger traffic, a large number of goods traffic is handled via the train station.
