View towards Neuruppin

Wustrau-Radensleben is an en-route stop on the Kremmen – Meyenburg railway line and is halfway between the places Wustrau-Altfriesack and Radensleben .

The station was opened on February 1, 1899 under the name Radensleben. It is located three kilometers from the eponymous place (today part of Neuruppin ), secluded in the forest. After 1945 the Red Army set up a large, guarded tank farm with siding in the immediate vicinity of the train station. In 1995 the station was closed as part of the route renovation and reopened under its current name in 2000. In the course of the renovation, all points and tracks (except for the main track ) were removed, so that the new station is only a stop in terms of railway law . A new side platform with a length of 100 m and a height of 76 cm was built. The reception building is no longer used and is empty.

In the night of July 7th to 8th 2014, an extension of the station building burned.

Despite its remote location, the station is of great value for tourism , as many hikers and cyclists use the station as the starting and ending point for their tours through the Ruppiner Land . In addition, the train station is a way of reaching the Wustrau conference center of the German Judicial Academy by public transport. With the Prignitz-Express there is a connection to Berlin every two hours and in the opposite direction to Neuruppin and Wittenberge .
