Bahram III (also Vahram or Varahran ) was king of the Sassanid Empire for four months in 293 .

Bahram was at an unknown time of Bahram II. , Who was probably his father to Sakanschah collected, so the "King of Saken ". This happened after the conquest of Sakastan in the east, probably in connection with the suppression of the Hormizd uprising . After his father's death, Bahram succeeded him as King of Kings . However, a large number of noblemen refused allegiance to him and instead pledged their support to Bahram's great uncle Narseh , who ruled in Armenia . Presumably they were more likely to trust him to successfully wage the threatened war with the Romans. Narseh was able to assert himself militarily within a short time and thus succeeded Bahram, whose further fate is unknown.
