Balgarvie Castle

Balgarvie Castle is an Outbound castle in Balgarvie at Cupar in the Scottish county of Fife .

The castle was sacked during the reign of Robert the Bruce (1306-1329) by the English army under the leadership of Sir John Pettsworth . Balgarvie Castle was owned by the Balfours of Burleigh and was later sold to the Earl of Melville .

Around 1940 the castle was completely demolished.
