Balkan Express
As Balkan Express or Balkan Express have been or are referred to in and out of the Balkans several train movements:
- Ex 254/255 "Balkan-Express" Vienna - Graz - Zagreb - Belgrade with through coaches from / to Istanbul and Athens (operated from the end of the 1950s to the end of the 1980s)
- 490/491 “Balkan Express” Belgrade - Sofia - Istanbul, see Balkan Express
This name has also been popularly adopted for some railway lines within Germany:
- Haiger – Breitscheid railway line (Hesse)
- Ulmtalbahn Stockhausen – Beilstein (Hesse)
- Section from Remscheid-Lennep to Opladen of the Wuppertal-Oberbarmen – Opladen railway line (North Rhine-Westphalia)
- Frose – Quedlinburg railway line (Saxony-Anhalt)
