The ballroom in the Bergpark

The ballroom is located in the Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe directly next to the Wilhelmshöhe Palace and is managed by the Hessen Kassel Museum Landscape. It is kept simple on the outside, but is equipped with a large, magnificently painted ballroom on the inside . The ballroom was built in 1808/1809 by Leo von Klenze on behalf of Napoleon's brother Jérôme Bonaparte during his reign in Kassel. The building initially served as a theater. The splendid interior was only given in 1828 under Elector Wilhelm II by the Kassel architect Johann Conrad Bromeis .
