Ban Nam Di is a village in the Luang Namtha district in the province of the same name in northern Laos .

The village is about six kilometers northeast of Luang Namtha. The Nam Di River flows past the village and the waterfall of the same name is about a kilometer from the village.

The population of the village belongs to the mountain people of the Lanten and operates a traditional artisanal form of paper production.

A pulp made of plant fibers is applied to a fine-meshed net that is stretched over a frame made of bamboo. After the water has dripped off, the frame is placed upright and the mass is dried in the sun. The sheet of paper can then be detached from the network.
