The Parasite Cone (English for parasite cone ) is a 2340 m high volcanic cone in East Antarctic Victoria Land . As its name implies, it is a so-called parasitic secondary crater of Mount Overlord and rises in the Mountaineer Range at a distance of 10.5 km to the summit of Mount Overlord on its northwest flank.
The northern group of a campaign carried out from 1962 to 1963 as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition gave it its descriptive name.
