Bananas in Pajamas is a puppet film series made for children from Australia .

In Australia, the series has been running on ABC since 1992. That year it was also produced. For the first time in 1996 and 1997 the program was broadcast in Germany on the ZDF channel.

Plot and characters

The series is about two befriended giant bananas in blue and white striped pajamas who like to have a lot of fun with each other and always have only one thing on their minds: to hunt three innocent teddy bears named Amy , Lulu and Morgan every Tuesday . Otherwise they like to visit their friend Rätti , a rat with a cap who owns a grocer and plays a somewhat insidious role. All together they live happily and together in the so-called Knuffelallee .

The two bananas that play the main roles are called B1 and B2 for short . They may not be particularly smart, but they always seem to have good ideas and be very creative. The traditional saying of the show is the sentence: "Do you think what I think, B1?" Then B1 replies: "I think so, B2!" Then they both shout in chorus : "It's going to be celebrated!"
