Banca francesa

Banca francesa is a three- dice game of chance . Despite the name "French Bank", it is a Portuguese game that is offered almost exclusively in casinos in Portugal , such as the Casino Estoril , and in Macau .

The rules

The description below follows the rules booklets of the Casino Estoril and Casino Lisboa in Macau:

The players place their bets on one of the three chances

  • Pequeno also 5 - 6 - 7 or Small ,
  • Grande also 14 - 15 - 16 or Big ,
  • Ases or Aces ,

then the croupier throws three dice.

Show the three dice

  • three ones, the bets on Ases win at a ratio of 61: 1, while the bets on Pequeno and Grande lose;
  • the total of 5, 6 or 7, then the bets on Pequeno win in a ratio of 1: 1, the bets on Grande and Ases are collected;
  • the total of 14, 15 or 16, then the bets on grande win in the ratio 1: 1, the bets on Pequeno and Ases are collected;
  • any other total, i.e. 4, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 17 or 18, the bets remain and can be changed by the players.

The bank advantage for all three types of bets is 1/63 = 1.59%.
