The Banco Central de Bolivia is the central bank of Bolivia with its headquarters in La Paz . The bank was founded on June 1, 1929 by a law of President Hernando Siles .

The building of the bank is a skyscraper with a height of 107.30 m . It is also one of the tallest buildings in Bolivia. Construction began on July 1, 1976 and was completed on August 30, 1980. The original building (on the right) was built in 1926 by the architect Dr. Emilio Villanueva built.
