The Colombian Banco Popular ( German  Volksbank ) is a credit institution founded in 1950. Since 1998 it has been part of the financial conglomerate of Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores , the largest financial service provider in Colombia.

The financial institution was founded on June 30, 1950 with its headquarters in Bogotá . Banco Popular provides banking services and offers personal and corporate banking. Banco Popular segments process wage and salary accounts and provide financial solutions for government agencies in the country. Its products and services include savings and accounts, insurance, foreign trade, leasing, credit cards and mortgages.
