The bench is a knife from the time of the Maratha Empire (1674 to 1818) in India . It was used as a weapon and a tool.

description

The bench has a strongly curved, single-edged flat blade that is very similar to a sickle . The cutting edge is on the inner, concave side of the blade. It has no hollow path (wrongly blood channel ) and no central ridge. The blade has a length of about 14 cm from the handle to the tip and about 21 cm measured around the curve of the blade. The handle is usually made of wood, horn or ivory . It often has a small metal knob. The scabbards are made of wood that is covered with leather. There are different versions that differ in handle design and shape.
