Barbara Bily

Barbara Bily (* 1982 ) is a German dramaturge .

Life

From 2003 to 2007, Bily completed a degree in dramaturgy at the "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" University of Music and Theater in Leipzig . During her studies, she worked at the Schauspielhaus Bochum, where she worked as an assistant director from 2008 to 2010.

In 2010 she was hired as assistant to the drama director and dramaturge at the Augsburg Theater. She was the dramaturge for u. a. Elfriede Jelinek's Ulrike Maria Stuart (director: Sylvia Sobottka ), Ulrich Plenzdorf's Die neue Leiden des Junge W. (director: Ramin Anaraki ) and William Shakespeare's Hamlet, Prince of Denmark (director: Markus Trabusch ).

From 2013 to 2016, Bily also had a teaching position for staging analysis at the University of Augsburg. In 2015 she also completed her advanced training in "Theater and Music Management" at LMU Munich, which she completed in January 2016 with a further training diploma and a thesis on the subject of "Establishing a children's and youth theater division at the Augsburg Theater".

Since the 2016/2017 season, Bily has been working as lead dramaturg at the Münster Theater .
