Barbarossastraße 2 (Mönchengladbach)
The house at Barbarossastraße 2 is located in Mönchengladbach ( North Rhine-Westphalia ) in the Gladbach district . The building was built at the end of the 19th century. It was entered in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach under No. B 051 on December 15, 1987 .
location
Barbarossastraße is located north of the old town center as a steep connection (with Staufenstraße) between Aachener and Viersener Straße. In its old inventory it is part of the historical expansion of Mönchengladbach.
architecture
House no. 2 dates from the end of the 19th century. It is a two-storey eaves house with three axes with a dark basement plinth that compensates for the rise in the terrain and an extended mansard roof . A curved gable framed by small pinnacles dominates the roof in the middle above a protruding box cornice . Flanking are two gable dormers that were added later .
