Baron Aldington

Baron Aldington , of Bispham in the County Borough of Blackpool , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

Award

The title was created on January 29, 1962 for the conservative politician, soldier and businessman Sir Toby Low . After he had distinguished himself in World War II , this was a member of the House of Commons and held various subordinate government offices.

Another title

As the number of hereditary peers in the House of Lords by the House of Lords Act 1999 was limited, were all hereditary peers, which the title was awarded directly to Life Peer made so they kept her seat. Therefore, Low was promoted to Baron Low , of Bispham in the County of Lancashire , for life on November 16, 1999 .
