Baron Allerton

Baron Allerton , of Chapel-Allerton in the West Riding of the County of York , was a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

Award and expiration

The title was created on July 17, 1902 for the Conservative MP and Chief Secretary for Ireland William Jackson .

The title expired on July 1, 1991 with the death of his grandson George Jackson, 3rd Baron Allerton , whose only son Hon. Edward Jackson had died in 1982.
