Baron Bethell , of Romford in the County of Essex , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

Today the barons' family seat is Manor Farm in Brill near Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire .

Award

The title was created on November 23, 1922 for the banker and liberal politician Sir John Bethell, 1st Baronet . On June 26, 1911, he was given the subordinate title of Baronet , of Park House in the Parish of Romford in the County of Essex.

Today's title holder has been his great-grandson James Bethell as 5th Baron since 2007 .
