Baron Churston
Baron Churston , of Churston Ferrers and Lupton in the County of Devon , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .
The family home of the barons is Yowlestone House near Tiverton in Devon.
Award
The title was bestowed on August 2, 1858, the Conservative House of Commons John Yarde-Buller, 3rd Baronet .
He had already in 1833 from his father Sir Francis Buller-Yarde-Buller, 2nd Baronet (1767-1833) inherited the subordinate title of Baronet , of Lupton House in the County of Devon, who on January 13, 1790 in the Baronetage of England had been given to his grandfather Sir Francis Buller, 1st Baronet (1746–1800).
Today's title holder has been his great-great-great-grandson John Yarde-Buller as 5th Baron since 1991 .
