The manor house Schloss Drosedow (" Jagdschloss St. Hubertus ") is a manor house in the Wustrow district of Drosedow in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

Building history

The manor house Drosedow was built in 1904 by the gynecologist Alfred Friedssen . He sold it to the von Mitzlaff family in 1914 .

Use after 1914

The von Mitzlaff family developed the estate into a stud farm and they practiced horse racing here intensively . In 1945 the family was expropriated and expelled as part of the land reform , and the manor house was used as refugee accommodation for those who had been displaced .

During the GDR era , the LPG type III "Lyssenko" office, a consumer sales point and a kindergarten were located in the building , sometimes one after the other . In 1960 it was converted into a training facility.

In 1990 the building became the property of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

Since 2004 there is a guest house in the main building.
