Baron Dormer , of Wyng (also of Wenge ) in the County of Buckingham , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of England .

Award

The title was bestowed on June 30, 1615 by Letters Patent to Sir Robert Dormer, 1st Baronet . Only twenty days earlier, on June 10, 1615, he had been raised to Baronet , of Wing in the County of Buckingham, in the Baronetage of England .

His grandson and heir Robert Dormer, 2nd Baron Dormer , was also raised to Earl of Carnarvon and Viscount Ascot , in the County of Hertford, in 1628 . These two titles already expired with the death of his son, the 2nd Earl, in 1709.

Until his death in May 2016, the title holder was his descendant Geoffrey Dormer as 17th Baron.
