Rudolf Stockhausen

Rudolph Theodor Friedrich Christoph Stockhausen (born December 3, 1821 in Romrod , † January 27, 1870 in Groß-Umstadt ) was a Hessian district judge and member of parliament.

Rudolph Stockhausen was the son of the tax councilor Franz Wilhelm Stockhausen and his wife Wilhelmine Appolonia nee Seyler. Stockhausen, who was a Protestant denomination, married Catharina born Camesasca on June 21, 1847 in Lampertheim (* May 12, 1823 in Seligenstadt; † February 27, 1909 in Darmstadt), the daughter of the rent clerk and deputy Anton Camesasca (1792-1840) and his wife Margaretha nee Rose (1791–1848)

Rudolph Stockhausen studied law at the University of Gießen from 1839 and completed his studies in 1842 with a doctorate in law. jur. from. In 1847 he became secretary of the visitation commission for the city and regional courts in Darmstadt, in 1848 regional court assessor in Butzbach and in 1852 regional court assessor in Offenbach . In 1865 he became a district judge at the district court in Groß-Umstadt .

From 1862 to 1870 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse . He was elected for the constituency of the city of Friedberg . In the estates he represented liberal-conservative positions. He is buried in Darmstadt.
