Philipp Preusser

Johann Philipp Preusser (born February 6, 1792 in Friedberg ; † July 28, 1864 there ) was a bookseller, mayor and member of the state parliament.

Philipp Preusser was the son of the bookbinder Johann Heinrich Preusser (1747–1828) and his wife Johanette Maria née Diehl (1756–1828). On July 1, 1821, he married Antonette Elisabetha, nee Graf (1792-1827), in Friedberg. After the death of his first wife, he married Eleonore Mathilde Johanna née Lyn (c) ker (1810–1874) on January 2, 1829.

Philipp Preusser worked as a bookseller and bookbinder in Friedberg. He became city administrator and alderman. From 1854 to 1864 he was mayor of Friedberg.

From 1845 to 1849 he represented the constituency of the city of Friedberg in the Second Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse . He was elected to the Chamber in 1845 in a by-election for the late Daniel Fritz . In 1848 he was a member of the preliminary parliament .
