Hermann Jöckel (politician)

Hermann Karl Bernhard Jöckel (born March 23, 1835 in Altenschlirf , † December 29, 1927 in Friedberg ) was a Hessian lawyer and politician ( NLP ) and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Hermann Jöckel was the son of actuarial assistant Jakob Jöckel (1803-1878) and his wife Luise, née Franke (1800-1862). Jöckel, who was Protestant, married Amalie Wilhelmine Charlotte Johannette née Ebenau (1839–1903) in Darmstadt on May 10, 1864.

Jöckel studied law and became a court advisor in Altenschlirf. In 1866 he became court attorney and procurator at the court in Giessen . From 1880 he was a lawyer at the regional court in Giessen and was appointed to the judiciary in 1895. In 1900 he became a notary in Friedberg, where he was appointed a secret councilor in 1902 .

From 1875 to 1881 and again from 1883 to 1902 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency of Upper Hesse 12 / Nidda-Ortenberg and then for the constituency of the city of Friedberg.
