Theodor Tecklenburg

Theodor Saladin Tecklenburg (born January 27, 1839 in Erbach (Rheingau) , † December 23, 1908 in Darmstadt ) was a Hessian miner and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

family

Theodor Tecklenburg was the son of pastor Ludwig Wilhelm Christian Tecklenburg (1806–1864) and his wife Karoline nee Epler. Tecklenburg, who was a Protestant denomination, married Emilie Caroline Pauline Dora née Dornseiff on December 5, 1871 (* May 9, 1852, † 1908), the daughter of the lawyer and judicial councilor Dornseiff in Giessen and Auguste Melior. Their son Carl Heinrich Ludwig Franz Theodor Tecklenburg (1881–1913) became an engineer.

Life

Tecklenburg attended school in Eltville and Wiesbaden. In 1856 he began studying at the University of Giessen , which he continued in 1857 at the Clausthal Mining Academy. In 1860 he passed his state examination as a miner and smelter and became an engineer in the administration of the Nassau State Railways . In 1862 he became director of the Hameln coal mine on the Weser. From 1865 he was responsible for building the Fulda-Hanau railway . In 1870 he became Grand Ducal Hessian Mining Master of the Province of Upper Hesse and in 1871 head of the Dornheim Mining Authority (Wetterau). In 1872 he moved to Bad Nauheim as well director and salt works manager . In 1876 he became the second technical officer at the Upper Mining Authority in Darmstadt and Bergmeister for the provinces of Starkenburg and Rheinhessen. In 1881 he became a member of the Central Office for State Statistics.

From 1881 to 1886 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency of Upper Hesse 12 / Nidda-Ortenberg .

Honors

He became a mountain ridge in 1878, an upper mountain ridge in 1882 and, on December 14, 1901, on the occasion of his retirement, he became a secret mountain ridge . In 1873 he was awarded the Prussian Order of the Crown, 4th class, and in 1898, 3rd class
