Wilhelm Dorsch (in official documents Wilhelm Dorsch II. ) (Born October 25, 1868 in Wölfersheim ; † February 27, 1939 ibid) was a Hessian politician ( Hessischer Bauernbund , DNVP , Christian National Peasant and Rural People's Party ) and a former member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse , the Landtag of the People's State of Hesse and the Reichstag of the Weimar Republic .

family

Wilhelm Dorsch was the son of the farmer Adam Dorsch and his wife Marie Dorsch, née Münzner. He was a Protestant and remained single until his death.

education and profession

Wilhelm Dorsch attended elementary school and advanced training school and then worked in his parents' farm.

politics

Wilhelm Dorsch was a co-founder of the Hessian Farmers' Union. From 1911 to 1918 he was a member of the second chamber of the state estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse for the constituency of Upper Hesse 12 (Nidda) . After the November Revolution he was a member of the Landtag of the People's State of Hesse from 1918 to 1921 .

He was a member of the Reichstag of the Weimar Republic for 5 electoral terms. In 1920 he was elected to the German National People's Party in constituency 22 (Hessen-Darmstadt). Also in the two elections in 1924 he stood in the constituency of Hessen-Darmstadt (renamed constituency 33) for the DNVP and was elected. In 1928 he was elected in the same constituency for the Christian National Farmers and Rural People's Party and in 1930 for the list of German Country People (Christian National Farmers and Rural People's Party).

Other offices

From 1893 Dorsch was chairman of the Turngau Wetterau.
