Wilhelm Erk

Wilhelm Friedrich Ludwig Erk (born January 18, 1840 in Nidda ; † November 15, 1912 there ) was a Hessian mill owner and politician ( HBB ) and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Wilhelm Erk was the son of the master baker Ludwig Erk and his wife Wilhelmine, née Kirchhof. Erk, who was of Protestant faith, owned a mill in Nidda and married Emilie nee Ruppel on February 27, 1868.

From 1887 to 1911 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency of Upper Hesse 12 / Nidda-Ortenberg . From 1898 to 1899 he was mayor of Nidda. In addition, he was a member of the city council, the district council and district committee in the Büdingen district , the provincial assembly of the province of Upper Hesse and director of the Sparkasse Nidda .
