Emil von Grolman

Friedrich Ludwig Franz Emil Georg Adolph von Grolman (born August 25, 1809 in Gießen ; † April 27, 1864 in Darmstadt ) was a Hessian judge and member of the 2nd Chamber of the Land estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Emil von Grolman was the son of the Higher Appeal Judge Friedrich von Grolman and his wife Eleonore, née Seyler. Von Grolman, who was a Protestant denomination, married Marie Elisabeth, née Walther (1811–1871), in Gießen in 1838.

Emil von Grolman studied law at the University of Giessen from 1828 to 1830 and became an accessist at the secretariat of the court in Giessen in 1834 . In 1836 he became a regional judge in Schlitz and in 1846 a court judge in Darmstadt , where he was appointed court judge in 1850. In 1861 he was promoted to the Higher Appeal Court and Judge of Cassation at the Darmstadt Higher Appeal Court .

From 1851 to 1856 and again from 1856 to 1862 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Upper Hesse 16 and 10 / Nidda .
