Baron Ferrers of Wemme
Baron Ferrers of Wemme (also Ferrers de Wem ) was a hereditary British title in the Peerage of England .
The territorial dedication of the title refers to the barons' family seat in Wem , Shropshire .
Award
The title was created on December 28, 1375 by Writ of Summons for Robert de Ferrers . He came from the noble Ferrers family and was a younger son of the 3rd Baron Ferrers of Chartley .
On the death of his son, the 2nd Baron, around 1396, the title in Abeyance fell between his daughters Elizabeth and Mary.
