Baron Geddes

Baron Geddes , of Rolvenden in the County of Kent , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

The title was created on January 28, 1942 for the conservative politician and former British ambassador to the USA, Sir Auckland Geddes . He was followed in 1954 by his son and in 1975 by his grandson as 2nd and 3rd baron. The latter is one of the few hereditary peers who remained in the House of Lords after the House of Lords reform in 1999 .

Heir apparent is the son of the current title holder James George Neil Geddes (* 1969).
His marriage is his son Angus Ross Alexander Geddes (* 2005).
