Baron Hacking
Baron Hacking , of Chorley in the County Palatine of Lancaster , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .
Award
The title was created on July 2, 1945 for the conservative politician Sir Douglas Hacking, 1st Baronet . On June 27, 1938, he was given the subordinate title Baronet , of Altham in the County Palatine of Lancaster, in the Baronetage of England .
Today's title holder has been his grandson David Hacking, 3rd Baron Hacking , since 1971 .
