John Pakington, 1st Baron Hampton

Baron Hampton , of Hampton Lovett and of Westwood in the County of Worcester , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

Award

The title was created on March 6, 1874 for John Somerset Pakington, 1st Baronet . He was a Conservative Member of the House of Commons who was a minister in conservative governments several times in the second half of the 19th century. The military ministries (war and naval ministries) were a special focus of activity.

Subordinate title

The first baron had already been raised to Baronet , of Westwood Park in the County of Worcester on July 13, 1846 . This title, which belongs to the Baronetage of the United Kingdom , was suspended from 2003 to 2014, until the current baron had proven his succession.

The heir ( Heir Apparent ) is the son of the current title holder, Hon. Charles Richard Caldato Pakington (* 2005).
